Hair West Salon Fundraiser

Here are some recent photos of the last fundraiser for Deb hosted by Shelly at her salon " Hair West Salon". It was a very wonderful day. Everyone who participated in this event did a fabulous job. My sister truly enjoyed the day and was so happy to see everyone. Debbie and our family would like to thank you for all the hard work and for everyone that came out to participated in this event. We truly appreciate everything that each and everyone of you do. We love you and thank you!

You all look so great! Hard to be here in Denver and miss all of it, but I feel I'm living it vicariously thru the blog, the phone calls and the pictures.

Dear Family and Friends,

This letter is being written on behalf of Debra Ferreira. As you are aware, Deb has been battling Pancreatic Cancer that has formed onto her liver for the last 10 years. She has faced her cancer with quiet courage and strength. There is no doubt that she is a fighter and she continues to fight as we speak.

Her most recent health concern came last month when she was admitted into the hospital with kidney failure. Her cancer is in need of treatment, which is causing problems with her stomach and her ability to eat. Needless to say, she has lost a lot of weight. Once they have the kidneys under control she will be facing immediate chemotherapy.

Deb's spirit remains strong, but her physical body is weak. She has a big fight ahead of her and she will need all of us to pray and support her and her family through the tough road ahead. Chances are that Deb will not be able to return to work, her home, or her normal way of life for quite some time. She is going to need to focus all her energy on fighting this disease and healing her body.

It is with a feeling of complete helplessness that we, her "family of friends" join together to offer some means of support to her, as she would do for us. We all wish we could carry some of her discomfort to lighten the load. Since we cannot take away her pain, it is our thought that perhaps we can help in ways that will offer the relief from the financial burden of this illness. Please join us by making a financial contribution. The contributions will go to maintain Deb's living expenses while she is undergoing the treatment
